Kissing Santa A Clover Park Novella Clover Park Book 4 edition by Kylie Gilmore Literature Fiction eBooks
I've liked all of the Clover Park books, there is just something so natural about Kylie's writing style that leaves me ready for more. I have to say that I believe Kissing Santa has been my favorite of them all! This book left me laughing, crying, cringing and just about ready to throw my kindle at character's heads!
Needless to say...I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!
Samantha isn't having the best of luck with love...or so says her pushy mother! So of course her mom sets her up on a date...with none other than the player of all players!
Poor, poor Rico...
He sure isn't your typical romance novel hero huh?
He has no freaking clue what he is doing! One second he is happy with his player ways and then his mom guilt trips him into going on this blind date...but she wasn't at all what he was expecting! Once he meets Samantha he decides that maybe, just maybe, he should change his ways and try to be exactly what she wants!
After screwing up MASSIVELY (I won't tell you how...but just know that I was amazed at his stupidity on this one...) on the first date, Rico lucks out and ends up with none other than Samantha sitting on his lap (while dressed as Santa of course) blurting out exactly what she is looking for!
Rico's poorly executed attempts at romance are hilarious and sweet. I mean come on...what man does that?
(Not sure what I'm talking about...go buy the book...read a few chapters then come back!! I'll wait right here.....
la..lala...lalalala....la...lala...lalalalala (picture elevator music or some such...)
Back?? Yep...see what I mean about the mailbox and such?? Uh huh! Who does that????)
Okay so now that we are back and I'm off my ramble...where was I?
Oh yeah, my adoration for Rico and his romantic attempts to woo Samantha. Hehe...Rico is such a sweet guy. I am so very happy that I read this book and cannot get over how quickly I fell in love with Rico! I honestly wish that this was a full length novel instead of a novella. I could have kept reading his crazy antics forever!
So head on over to Amazon and pick up your copy! You won't be disappointed!

Kissing Santa A Clover Park Novella Clover Park Book 4 edition by Kylie Gilmore Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This series is great I love the grandma in the book plus the men but Maggie is awesome she knows how to raise those boys right
I must say I have seen a lot of romances described as funny, but few that actually had me laughing like this one.
Good story with very likable characters! I laughed as Rico and Samantha were pushed together. I loved how Rico tried to be the perfect Prince Charming. Great read for anyone looking for quick, romantic read!
It started ok, i kept waiting for it to become interesting but it never did.
The main character Rico is a playboy and he wants to show samantha that he cares about her and wants to give her an out-of-a-book-romance.
(Spoiler alert)
Rico's great idea to sweep her of her feet is to imitate romantic gestures of famous romantic movies. When that doesn't work because she doesn't want something unoriginal and fake. She repeatedly tells him he's a phony and that everything he does is an act still HE KEEPS DOING IT! i get that sometimes men are a little thick headed but seriously Rico's character comes out plain dumb
(End of spoiler)
The first book of this series was really good and after reading the other reviews I had high expectations of this one.
+++Spoilers+++
This novella has had great reviews and perhaps you have to have read the series to appreciate it. Since I haven't read anything by this author before I found this book a bit cheesy and exaggerated. The idea is cute but not altogether well done. The H is a big player not looking to settle down and he is set up for a date with the h, which their mothers arrange. Neither of them are keen and it ends badly. The H is extremely full of himself. The h then confesses all her desires to Santa (rolling my eyes here) who just happens to be the H. He then tries to fulfil her wishes to the letter with disastrous results.
I am new to this author and was delightfully surprised. I am a bit of a cynic and use to think all sweet, love
stories were unrealistic. I was wrong and thank you Kylie . This book (unlike others) did not make me
want to vomit with an overload of sugar. There was an overload (however) of the times i smiled at Rico and his attempts to
woe the woman he wanted. It would be awesome if today's man put this much effort into winning the woman
of his dreams. I look forward to reading more of this fresh, honest speaking author.
Samantha and Rico get set up to go on a blind date by their mothers. They are informed that this is for their arranged marriage that the two mothers have put together for them. Neither of them want to go much less intend on falling in love in the process.
Who was the most memorable character of Kissing Santa and why?
I love Maggie's character for this question. She kind of ends up pulling all of the pieces together on how Rico and Samantha are brought together for their arranged marriage by their mothers.
Which scene was your favorite?
I think my favorite part of the book is the ending, well not quite the ending. It is where Rico proposes. And that is all I'm saying on that. You have to read the book to find out why this is my favorite scene. Okay, I will say it includes music, but that is all I'm saying about the scene.
Reading this book will give you many laughs, you will also be able to relate if you have ever been set up on a blind date by someone.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!
